Let’s face it – this summer was pretty much a bust when it came to outdoor festivals. Shows were rescheduled, cancelled, postponed, taken virtual, and in the case of one show I can think of, all of the above. Events that did take place limited the number of artists who could participate and/or had restrictions regarding the number of attendees allowed and their interaction with the artists. Still, I did not give up hope and prayed to the event gods for at least one show to participate in where I got to interact with attendees the way I like, which is face-to-face, while still following the safety guidelines that have helped turn things around. The silver lining in all of this? It gave me time to explore new techniques and products I’m dying to share with you.
The gods must have been listening, because I will be traveling to the great state of Wisconsin to participate in the Bayshore Art and Artisan Fair in Glendale the weekend of October 3-4. Located at 5800 North Bayshore Drive, this festival is located in an open air shopping center in Glendale, which is just a few miles north of Milwaukee. Hours are 10-5 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday. CDC recommendations will be followed.
Can’t make it to Glendale? Don’t despair – I’m looking at dates after the show in October and before Black Friday to do my own virtual show. Will let you know once I finalize the date(s).
Until next time,
