Peyote is a very versatile bead weaving stitch used to create various forms of jewelry and other objects. Flat peyote is generally used to make bracelets and necklaces; circular peyote to create ropes, vessels and other figures. But thanks to the genius of Gerlinde Lentz, we now have peyote – with a twist! With this new stitch, peyote ropes can be beaded in a semi-circular mode that produces a spiral pattern. This necklace was made using the PWAT method with galvanized gold seed beads, as well as 24K gold AB and olive green Czech 2mm fire polished beads. Measuring 18 inches, it is secured with a gold toned snake clasp.
